72 Hours of Mince Pies from the UK’s Best Chefs for Charity
This Christmas everyone is once again in with a chance to get their mince pies made by the UK’s best chefs and restaurants as The Mince Pie Project returns, all in aid of charity. Already confirmed to take part are Michel Roux Jnr, Raymond Blanc, Marcus Wareing, Clare Smyth and Claire Clark.Chefs from across the UK are taking part and will each cook a unique batch of 50 mince pies. Each box will be sold online in a 72 hour auction, from midday on the 11th December to midday on the 14th of December. Bids will be able to be made and all the action followed on The Mince Pie Project website. All proceeds from the project will be donated to Galvin’s Chance and Crisis.Last year’s project saw 36 great chefs take part and raised almost £10,000 for charity. Ashley Palmer-Watts, Executive Chef at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, raised the most money, with his box of 50 deep fried mince pies fetching £1,000. Paint it! Make it! Fundraising event for Japan earthquake victims. Held at the Book Club on the 25th of June, the event will feature live Drawing by Mr Millerchip and Kristian Jones. There will also be an opportunity to assemble and bind your very own zine, from a collection of pages from top artists including Ben the illustrator, Toy Factory, and many more. If that’s not enough to excite you there will also be a Charity Pop Up Shop, Origami Folding, Charity Raffle (more products from ToDryFor), New art products to test! Kuretake Pens, Cakes (Yum) … and possibly more!

Charity: Oxglam Squad for the London Marathon

Henry Holland along with friends Agyness Deyn, Tuuli Shipster (Rankin’s model wife), David Gandy, Greg Hollins, David Gandy, Emma Pierson, Sara Pierson, Carly Roberts, Chantal Brown and Amiee Robinson all makeup the Oxglam Squad. By running 26 miles of The London Marathon they are raising money for Oxfam’s projects in Honduras, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Sri Lanka.

London Marathon 2011 sponsored by Virgin takes place Sunday 17th April
